What I wore to the Rodeo Dance this weekend!!! My hair is still in rollers and I got ready at a friends house so ignore the mess around me!! I was certifiable countrified!! Was just a big old Ho down in a cow pasture....was so much fun:)

Daryl and I went fishing this morning....was a nice quiet beautiful morning on the water! A break from stress right now. We didn't catch anything but I found a dozen scallops....brought them home and sauted them in some butter, salt, and pepper. Yummmmmm

Wish I would have now!
It's on Duane's street (9th) Some of his soldiers were in the movie, D was suppose to be last week, but his boss was being a butt so he didn't have time :-(

Flash mobs are freaky. Wish there had been a fun dance involved, but this one just ended in an arrest. A rapper (machine gun kelly) sent out a twitter to meet at the Mall today at 5. Of course we didn't know about that. We were shopping in Macy's and we kept hearing a crowd screaming, like at an amusement park, Courtney actually asked if there was roller coaster at the mall because that's exactly what it sounded like. Then, a billion kids came thundering through, running for the exits. We weren't sure weather to laugh or run for the exits too. Could have been a bomb threat for all we knew. It was soooooo weird. Apparently the rapper ended up getting arrested because he was standing on a table and security kept telling him to get down. They physically removed him and the mob went nuts. It wasn't very smart that he chose to stand on a table that was right next to the railing....on the 2nd floor. That could have hurt. yikes. I watched the video and the guy went to surf the crowd and the first person he jumped on was a cop, Duh! Fun times in Ohio :-)

I rode past my granny's old house today.....wish so bad we could buy it!! But it's in a dicey side of town and not for sale:( still, it's good to ride pass sometimes and remember       My life back then!

Hay!

Cody did his first farm job this weekend, baling hay. He made $200 for 17 hours of work over 2 days. Not too shabby!!! Way better than a fast food job :)  he looked sooooo cute all dirtied up, looking like a farmer. And he's got one heck of a dark tan and it was a great workout. Too bad it can't be steady work. Chads gonna ask around and see who else needs help with straw and hay. He might be able to get his own truck soon :)
I love summer up here. Snapping peas with my momma, helping my dad in the garden, cookouts with the family, my nephews baseball games. It makes me forget all that dang snow and appreciate my tiny lil bfe of a hometown country life.

These 2 follow me everywhere. Ozzie is just waiting for me to pull back the covers, then he'll be curled up on the bed. The little prince really likes my feather pillows and Egyptian cotton sheets. I think he secretly mocks the dog for having to sleep on the floor all night

Duane sent me to pick up a card and flowers for his secretary's last day (tomorrow).  she got let go because the government is tightening their belts. Holy snikey's its hot. It's all of 65 and I have the covers thrown off, windows open, ceiling fan on, fan by my bed, and a fan in the window right beside my bed & I'm still sweatin. Tell me how I survived SC?  I'm not complaining tho at least its not snow. Besides I think its the boones making me warmish. Cristy was up and we always get boones for old times sake and she never has time to drink it, so the whole bottle is mine, don't wanna waste it. D is on leave all week and I'm loving it, love love love it! Did I tell you he made beer? Didn't ferment enough tho because the house wasn't warm enough all winter. He needs to try again now that its so hot, by ohi standards lol I'm outtie xoxo

Royal Wedding!

I couldn't wait to get home from courtneys dentist appt this morning so I could watch the wedding. I DVR'd it on 3 different channels. I love me a good wedding! If I owned a crazy hat, I would have worn it while watching :-)  Victoria Beckhams gets my vote for craziest hat, that sucker looked like a weapon LOL  David on the other hand looked mighty dashing :) I am so glad my wedding didn't HAVE to be so stiff & formal....how boring. protocol stinks! Kate looks and behavs so regal already. Did you see how she would bow her head and lower her eyes whenever William had to salute as they were on the carriage ride to the palace. She looked so calm on the car ride there with her Daddy, and while waiting to walk up the aisle, during vows you could see a tenseness in her neck and jaw, and she kept swallowing. I wonder what she was thinking? I was just hoping she didn't spew.  Her father looked a little shaky, but her brother did a wonderful job reading out of Romans. And I was surprised her mother wasn't terrible teary eyed as she walked up the aisle, I would have been. It must of been really hard to have to act a certain way because of marrying into the Windsor family. I don't know about you but I think Harry looked better than Will. There's just something about Harry :-) Maybe it was because he had more "stuff" on his uniform, but behaps Will didn't want to detract from Kate at all.  Will would make a lovely Disney prince type character in his red uniform tho. All in all it was lovely and I'm so glad it didn't rain! The 2 things I wanted to see that I missed
1) Kates curtsy to the queen and 2) none of the channels showed Will's expression when he saw Kate, THAT is the best part of every wedding in my opinion and they didn't show that at all. but at least there were plenty of close ups of them smiling and chatting like this: I kept pausing the TV while I was watching just to see their expresssions~so cute!


My niece Hailey is absolutely smitten with the royal wedding, she keeps rewinding and watching certain parts over and over. And she's just SOOO impressed that Kate is a real princess :-)

I had a dream last night about visiting you. We played a joke on Dr K, I posed as a patient and as soon as I mentioned I was from Ohio he said 'one of my nurses has a friend from Ohio!' LOL
You Brooke and I were doing our nails and getting ready to watch a jersey shore marathon LOL. (I can't believe you let her watch that!) And and had to leave the next day (sunday) at 6:10 pm. In my dreams I always have a 6:10pm flight home for some reason. Weird huh?

Just found out an old friend from Sweden is coming to visit yay! Haven't seen her in 18 years :)

When we get a lot of snow cody cuts paths for gunner with the snowplow. When the snow starts melting I get so excited to see grass! And sun!

I just adore the tiny little brown bags that come in the kids meals at chipotle. So much so that I had to take a pic LOL! They look like they only have room for 5 tortilla chips but looks are deceiving, there was actually 8. It looks so tiny next to my bag. No, actually it makes me look like a pig.
